"Hilloway" is a large, two story private home located on St. John, the most beautiful of the U.S. Virgin Islands. The house is sited on the southwest coast of the island, on a peninsula that separates Great Cruz Bay and Turner Bay. By car, Hilloway is less than five minutes from the main town of Cruz Bay.

The lower level of the east end of Hilloway was constructed as a separate (and private) two-room apartment that could accommodate visiting families of up to four persons. Here is a floorplan of this apartment:

As you can see, the main room of the apartment (to the right in the floorplan drawing) has a fully-equipped kitchen as well as a "living room" with two sofas and a chair.

The living room has a cable television, a radio, as well as a telephone. Both of the two front-room sofas are actually full-length twin beds, so this apartment can sleep up to four adults comfortably.

Large sliding glass doors in both rooms open out onto a breezy deck that affords nice views of the Carribean Sea and the islands of St. Thomas, Great St. James, and Little St. James. The view of St. Thomas is particularly striking at night. See the photo to the right.

As you exit either room and turn to your right, it's only a few steps to Hilloway's built-in, tiled pool. Here you may relax after a day at one of St. John's beautiful beaches, or after hiking one of the many trails in the U.S. National Park which encompasses about 50 per cent of the island.
